Some people are too busy to write for their blog. Others do not like the niche their blog is in, and that makes it torture to sit down in front of their computer and write.
Some writers are in a niche for the money and do not know anything about the content on their blog. Others dread the idea of having a blog article quota and feel like they are under pressure to write.
There are blog writers who seem to always be facing writer’s block. They just can’t seem to get through an article.
I recently read about someone who had so many article ideas in her head she couldn’t pick one and it drove her crazy.
In a couple of minutes I have just described scenarios most of us have faced at one time or another when it came time to write. We knew our blog needed updated content, but just couldn’t seem to “git r done” as Larry The Cable Guy would say.
So, when does it make sense to hire a blog writer? When are you better off to hire a freelance writer?
You Are To Busy To Keep Your Blog Updated
How many blogs online need fresh content right now?
2. 1 Million
3. 10 Million
4. 100 Million
5. 1 Billion
6. All of the above…..
I’ll go with either 4, 5, or 6, and I do not have any data to back that up other then my own personal history.
I like to write blog articles for my own blogs even though I write everyday for somebody else’s blog, but do you know what? Sometimes I’m just too busy and don’t get around to writing a new article even though I know I should. I know this is the case for millions of bloggers out there.
Most people who start a blog do it on a part-time basis. They have a life and often they are very busy with work, family, or anything that comes up throughout the course of a day.
Do not despair!
If you can afford it you should hire a freelance blog writer and let them write for you at least 2-4 times a month. Rather than overwhelm yourself with the idea that you need 20 or 30 articles added to your blog every month take a different approach.
Hire someone like me to write 1000 word blog articles for you two- four times a month. Let me post and publish them to your blog, and get the ball rolling with a little bit of promotion for the new post.
This is still your blog so spend a little bit of time every week promoting the new article. As a matter fact spend 90% of your blogging time focused strictly on marketing your blog.
Can you do that? How much does it cost?
It depends on the blog writer, but in my case you get that done for $60-$120 a month. I’m talking about quality articles written around a targeted keyword phrase in a theme, posted, published, and promoted into social media every month on your blog!
If you’re serious about the niche your blog is in think of this as an investment until you are in a profit mode.
You Don’t Like Your Blog Niche!
Well, why did you start it then? I’m just kidding :-)
I know there are millions of blogs online right now in niches the owner could care less about. The reason they started the blog simply was to make money.
There is nothing wrong with making money! However, unless you’re doing paid advertising how do you expect to get traffic to your blog so you can make money?
A lot of people who are in niches they don’t really like use the Google AdSense affiliate program to monetize their blog. These are strictly information blogs designed to get a certain percentage of people to click on the ads so the blogger can make money.
Again, I say nothing wrong with that. However, information blogs need content. These don’t necessarily have to be longer blog articles.
You can certainly add shorter articles along with longer articles, but your long-term goal is to get a lot of words that Google is spidering.
You don’t have to like the blog topic, but you do need a plan for getting content added on a consistent basis. That’s where a freelance writer can be of great assistance to you.
You Don’t Not Know Much About Your Blog Niche
In this case you may actually like the niche your blog is in, but you don’t really know much about it.
How are you going to become educated to the point that you can write quality blog articles? That is a question you need to ask yourself.
If you would prefer to just have fun following this niche, let somebody else write your blog articles. There is nothing wrong with that. I have written hundreds of articles over the years for people who have a home business or MLM blog and they really don’t know anything about those niches.
However, they are interested in it, just not to the extent that they want to do the writing. I have gotten many emails over the years from people who say they learned a lot just reading their own blog posts. That may sound kind of funny, but when people come and visit your blog they don’t have to know you are not the one writing the articles.
Hire a ghost writer!
What can happen over time is you become more educated and decide to write some of your own content. That’s a great idea because after all this is your blog!
You Can’t Handle The Pressure
If you’re the type of person who feels pressure to meet a quota in terms of writing a certain number of blog articles relax. There’s no rule that says you have to blog several times a day, every day, several times a week, or whatever.
There’s nothing wrong with hiring a blog writer to take the pressure off of yourself either. In terms of a quota, the more words you have on your blog the more chances you have for Google to rank you in organic searches, and for people to come read the articles on your blog.
However, are you doing this long term, or short-term?
Some people start a blog strictly with the idea they will throw content up in volume and see what sticks. Their goal is to quickly make as much money as they can on their blog and then delete it when the niche is no longer popular.
However, if you have a blog that is in it for the long haul you should hire a blog writer whenever you feel pressured for whatever reason.
If you blog long enough you are going to have times where you can not come up with article ideas. This is true for both new blogs and established ones.
One idea I have used successfully is to keep a swipe file full of future article ideas. When I am online if something catches my idea I will jot it down and put it in my swipe file to refer back to at a later time.
Sometimes I will copy the title and url of a web page. If I get an email with a catchy subject line I will copy that and paste it on a text document I have that is full of ideas.
I like to go to the Warrior Forum to see what is trending. The popular posts are great sources for blog article ideas.
Google Alerts for the main keywords in a niche is an easy way to have Google tell you what is going on in your niche everyday.
Sometimes you have ideas, but just can’t seem to get started writing. Successful bloggers offer this tip: Just start typing anything and everything that comes to your mind, even if it has nothing to do with the article you want to write.
This gets the creative juices flowing. Think of it as hitting a few balls on the driving range before playing a round of golf. You need to warm up first.
If you know you need to make a post, and can not seem to get out of the writer’s block funk, then go to your freelance writer and have them take care of it for you this time.
You Have Too Many Ideas
I had not considered this before. I recently read about a lady whose head was always spinning with blog article ideas.
She couldn’t seem to pick one, or focus on the one she had picked. This seemed to paralyze her into not writing about anything and the result was she had a blog that could have been much better!
If I was her I would make a list of the ideas and send them over to my blog writer. Let them write a 10 pack or 20 pack of quality articles for you.
If you have this problem, getting an article pack done for you should help clear out your mind and give you a lot of great content for your readers and the search engines.
The best time to hire a blog writer is going to depend on you. All of these situations are what blog writers face everyday.
Hiring a blog article writer can work however you want it to work. Buying one article at a time is great. So is buying article packs if that is what you feel you need!
