As we look ahead to the rest of the year social media marketing continues to dominate marketing online regardless of the kind of business you have. This does present multiple challenges which can ultimately lead you to consider outsourcing your social media marketing.
Outsourcing has become a proven way to get things done online. There is a popular saying within Internet marketing that you should do what you like best and outsource the rest.
I think this definitely applies to social media marketing for a number of reasons.
Let me give you five reasons I think you should outsource social media marketing.
This is a problem all of us face whether we have a full-time business we are trying to promote, or whether we work a full-time job and are trying to do Internet marketing part-time. We all have 168 hours in a week, which works out to 24 hours a day.
The great thing about the Internet is its open for business 24 hours a day even when we cannot be working. However, when it comes time to do marketing that often gets pushed off to the side because the rest of our day is so full.
If you were to outsource various aspects of social media marketing think about the amount of time it would free up for you. As long as you take that new found time freedom, and use it in a productive way, it stands to reason you will move your business forward and make more money.
I’m a full-time Internet marketer, and I have a hard time keeping up to date with all the different social media platforms. Even if you are a fairly technically oriented each social site is a little different than the other one, and this can become frustrating.
As an example, blogging is one of the best forms of social media marketing. Yet less than half of the offline businesses in America have a blog.
Brick-and-mortar businesses, as well as online businesses, that do have a blog are woefully behind in keeping it up to date. It just takes too much knowledge on what to write about, how to get your blog articles ranked, how to promote your blog, and so on.
The same thing can be true whether you’re in Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and so on. It takes a lot of knowledge to master social media marketing on these various social platforms and many of us just do not have the time or energy to learn all of this.
This does not even take into account anything new that is coming into play. Social media has barely scratched the surface of what it will mean to the World Wide Web and to business specifically!
Are You An Expert?
You may be an expert in your business, but are you an expert at marketing on the Internet using social media? An advantage to outsourcing is you bring in an outsider’s perspective when it comes to talking about your niche or your business.
If you hire a social media expert that has knowledge in your niche they can present it in a different light than you might do. The niche thing about outsourcing is you get the credit for being the expert even when you use someone else to do the work.
We mentioned that many people have a hard time keeping up with their blog. They also have a hard time keeping up with social media marketing.
The best advice I can give you is if you’re going to be social with your business then be social every day. How many Facebook pages have you been on where somebody made a comment about a specific business and it’s been over 30 days and there’s no response.
Social media marketing works when you’re active and you don’t fall away behind. This is hard to do if you have a busy business, so why not outsource this to somebody who can keep it up to date on a daily basis!
When you do this it allows you to be on more social platforms just from a time savings standpoint. Of course more exposure is key to more traffic and more income.
If you weigh the cost of paying an outside source versus hiring a full-time employee you will find social media marketing is fairly inexpensive. If you pass off your social media marketing to an existing employee this may cost you money and lost time.
What many companies have found is employees love to hang out on Facebook and pretend they are actually working. You do jot have to worry about that with an outsourced worker because you’re paying them a set fee and you don’t care how many hours it takes them to do it.
You only care about results. If the results are there the increased income will be there as well. This will allow you to pump a little more into your social media marketing oursourcing for even more income.
These are five reasons you should outsource social media marketing whether you are an offline business or an online business. I have not talked about where to outsource in this article.
For blog writing I suggest looking at Crowd Content, UpWork, or HireWriters. Even Fiverr can be a good place to find a writer every now and then.
Easy Outsource and oDesk are good places to start looking for outsource workers. For specific tasks Fiverr.com is still one of the best places for quality work with w fast turnaround time.
The kind of things you can outsource at Fiverr.com is amazing and at times even silly. If you don;t find what you need done just post it and there will be plenty of workers showing up at your doorsteps.
